About
Keith Buenaventura, Creative Director & Creative Strategist, Los Angeles.
What drives me is meaningful work: creative that actually moves a business forward, not just something that looks good in a deck. Over more than a decade I've grown deliberately toward that, from illustration and design into motion, production, and UGC, until I could own a campaign end to end. The throughline is always the same: award-winning concepts built to meet what content demands right now, judged by whether they move the number the brand actually cares about.
Most recently, I led creative for Kind Science, a startup inside Guthy-Renker, where I owned the full pipeline from concept to final delivery across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, OTT, Shopify, email and SMS. That included directing on-set production, producing hundreds of ad variations a year, and building the campaign that put Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi in front of 9M+ impressions with 40+ creative variations that held performance for ten-plus straight weeks. Before that, I spent four years at Jafra Cosmetics leading digital transformation across 18+ global markets, and I got my start directing product photography and packaging for a motorcycle performance brand. That range built the muscle for both the polished campaign and the scrappy small-business asset.
Outside of work I'm probably watching an NBA game, tent camping somewhere with no signal, or hunting down good Kare-Kare and other Filipino food I grew up on. I'll drop everything for a new Marvel movie or an MKBHD video, and I'm the type to fall down a social feed rabbit hole learning some new trick or trying a recipe I have no business attempting. I like listening to how the generation before me built things, and I like keeping up with how the one after me is doing it differently, especially with AI, which I'm always poking at to see what's actually useful versus just hype.
